  24. Beretta received a contract from the Brazillian government to
  25. manufacture for the military model 92 pistols.  Beretta set up a plant
  26. in Brazil, not unlike the operation in the US.  When the contract ran
  27. out, beretta sold the plant, inventory, plans, drawings, etc to
  28. Taurus.  Taurus continued to manufacture the 92's for civilian use and
  29. has since begun to modify the design that diverges from the Beretta.
