- #For my around-the-house protection .357 Magnum pistols I use
- #"POLICE CARTRIDGES .38 SPECIAL" (that's the writing on the box)
- #manufactured by 3-D INV., INC., Doniphan, Nebraska.
- #(For the curious, they are 158 Gr. Lead Round Nose.)
-
- 158gr LRN .38 SPLs? IMHO a bad choice. These rounds are awful
- stoppers. There are other options offering better stopping
- capability, while still being "politically correct".
-
- Silvertips or any .38 SPL +P JHP come to mind. Wasn't there an
- "FBI load" mentioned somewhere in the Gun Press? A 147grs SWC
- round or something like that...
-
- Going from Homemade Devastator (tm) rounds to more mundane ones
- shouldn't take us too far.
-
- For the curious, I'm using .357 magnum 125gr SJHP for home defense.
