- It's still January...so cool your cultivator! Actually, I concede
- that I love pouring through seed catalogues and planning things in
- January.
-
- As for Canadian seed catalogues, last year I got all I wanted to know
- about seed cos from Harrowsmith (either Jan or Feb issue, I think).
- If you have trouble getting a hold of this or some other source, email
- me and I can give you the addresses of the 4 I'm considering this year:
-
- Stokes - major veg/flower North America-wide, but based in Canada
-
- T&T - veg/flower/bulb/fruit/tree, Manitoba based
-
- Richter's - if you like herbs, this is a must (I counted more than 20
- varieties of basil alone in their catalogue)
-
- Vesey's - based in P.E.I. "Seeds for Short Seasons" is their claim to
- fame (but don't all Canadian cos fall into this category by
- necessity?) Anyway, I've heard good things about Vesey's from an old
- local guy who is commercial and knows the companies well.
