  34. Correction: After January 1, 1993, dealer shuffles when the last game
  35. has been played, not in the middle of it. After shuffling, 5 cards are
  36. moved to corner, not shown.  Only four decks (of six) are played.

  45. Remember, a monopoly operates at the point of maximum profit, not
  46. where supply and demand curves would cross in a free market.

  49. For those who should somehow be interested in the Finnish gambling
  50. situation: A law states that an organization (Raha-automaattiyhdistys,
  51. RAY, Slot Machine Association; founded 1936) has monopoly in all games
  52. which involve money: card games (mainly BJ), roulettes, slot machines.
  53. No one under 18 is allowed to play BJ or roulette and no one under 16
  54. is allowed to play slot machines.

  56. There are roulettes and BJ's in many restaurants, night clubs and
  57. discos; also there are special places called Tayspotti (small gambling
  58. sites) and Casino RAY. You can find slot machines almost everywhere in
  59. Finland, in gas stations, supermarkets, bars etc. The slot machines
  60. have return ratio of 70-85%.

  62. The profits, which were 1 billion FIM ($200 million) last year, are
  63. donated to various charity organizations. About 90% of total revenue
  64. came from slot machines.
