- Each year the Metropolitan Museum of Art produces a sterling silver
- "snowflake" based on a design of one sort or another. The first yesr
- was 1971. At that time the snowflake was quite heavy. As the years
- went on they got lighter and lighter!
-
- My wife and I have collected them for every year since they began.
- The dies are destroyed each year so they are limited editions. As I
- recall each sells for about $50.
-
- Does anyone collect these? Any idea about what the value of such a
- set might be worth?
-
- Thanks for your help.
