- There are two ways to order FDC's directly from the USPS.
-
- 1. Buy the stamp or stationary item (stamped envelopes, postal
- cards, etc.) at your local post office or philatelic sales
- center. Put the stamp on a self-addressed envelope (with
- sufficient other postage to make 29c). Send it under
- separate cover to:
-
- Customer Affixed Envelopes
- Postmaster
- City, State, and Zip code-9991
-
- 2. Send the full cost of the item (including makeup postage)
- along with a self-addressed envelope to:
-
- Name of Issue
- Postmaster
- City, State, and Zip code-9992
-
- Remember that postal stationary usually costs a bit more
- than the postage.
-
- Deadlines for FDC's are usually 30-60 days from date of issue.
- And they mean days, not the same date one or two months later.
