- The high point in Kansas (literally and figuratively) is Mount Sunflower
- at 4039 feet. At the summit is a planted dead tree with a cow skull at
- the top and a monument that reads, "On This Site in 1897 Nothing Happened".
- Also there is a sunflower made of metal. I think that says everything
- about Kansas that could be said. :-).
-
- As an aside I was born and raised in South Dakota and miss it terribly. I
- happen to love the plains, theres just nothing to climb.
