- I used to have a 79 Vette which has the same problem. My scenario was when I take my
- foot off the gas, the rear end will whine like a mother. The solution was when you
- changed your rear end in the first place, the mechanic forgot to put 4 oz. of GM
- additive along with the gear oil. Just change your rear end fluid with the additive,
- the whine should go away.
