- Perhaps the true reason is this unnecessary warming up?

- Note: warming up your car should only take about 20s, whether it is
- 100 or -40 (In the -40 case you might want to plug in a block warmer
- so that the oil isn't too thick). Then the first few miles should be
- driven gently, to allow the *entire* drivetrain to warm up. (When you
- let the engine get hot, the rest of the drivetrain generally remains
- cold.)

- Actually, just wait until March 1, as there will be no more oxygenated
- gas sold for a while. Takes about two-three tanks to clear the garbage
- out of your tank. (in my case, anyway)
