- Hi net-world,
- I have a Ford Escort 4-door.
- I went for a routine check-up and the mechanic told me of the following problem:
- I have to fix the inner tire rod ends since they were pushing on my tires.
- It may cause some safety hazard.
- I'll also have to have a beaming repack rear (that's what they said -
- I don't have any idea what it meant).
- Finally I'll have to have the wheels alligned.
- The total cost comes to about $200.
-
- My qs are:
- (1) Is the problem really a safety hazard that needs to be fixed immediately
- or can it wait?
- (2) Is the price quoted reasonable?
-
- Thanks for any help (by e-mail).
