- I am looking for information on controlling the spark timing of
- a 1992 GMC 2500 with a GM 350 engine. This is part of a natural gas
- conversion that has the capability of controlling spark curve. We
- are planning on using a custom controller and are looking at
- how to control the spark. If it is a normal GM HEI electronic-control
- distributor, has anyone curved out the advance characteristics
- of it? If it is a fancy distributorless ignition or something else,
- any information would be appreciated.
- If anyone has information on the sensor characteristics used on
- that engine, I would also appreciate it. This is especially true
- for temperature sensors.
- There is actually a reason why we simply cannot re-calibrate the
- GM ECU, however, in case any of our competitors are reading, I'm
- not going to say what that reason is.... :-)
-
- We know the vehicle that we will be working on, but we don't have
- one here just yet. I'd like to get a start on programming soon.
