  15. Well, it turned out (after a call to a local auto repair shop) that
  16. the '88 nova does use spring clips to keep the trim in place.
  17.  
  18. The appropriate thing to was to insert a flat-head screwdriver under
  19. the edge of the trim, slide it from side to side until it hit
  20. something, pry up gently, and repeat until all the clips were free.
  21.  
  22. Now to find space underneath for the cable..
