- Well, it turned out (after a call to a local auto repair shop) that
- the '88 nova does use spring clips to keep the trim in place.

- The appropriate thing to was to insert a flat-head screwdriver under
- the edge of the trim, slide it from side to side until it hit
- something, pry up gently, and repeat until all the clips were free.

- Now to find space underneath for the cable..
