- In reading through the option list for the '93 Jeep Cherokee (not the Grand
- Cherokee), I noticed something called the 'Suspension Package' which
- includes (besides some other stuff) high pressure gas shocks (front & rear),
- larger tires, et cetera. Then it mentions that the rear stabilizer bar
- is deleted. Obviously this package is intended for the 4WD models.
-
- Can someone enlighten me as to the purpose of a rear stabilizer bar (other
- than to stabilize the rear) and the reason for its removal in the situation
- described above?
-
- Thanks.

- P.S. Would it sound reasonable to you for a dealer (salesdude actually) to
- promise to sell me the cherokee of my choice (even if it has to be
- brought in from another dealership) for $550 over invoice?
