  38. Well, the BEST way to really "test" it is to A>remove the converter, and 
  39. replace it with a "test pipe".  or B>(my way) just loosen the bolts off of 
  40. the converter.

  42. If you get more power (and you *will* feel it), then your converter is 
  43. shot.  They fill up with sulfur within the converter "guts" (looks like a 
  44. honey comb pattern).  Either replace the converter, just replace it with the 
  45. test pipe, or "punch" it out.

  47. Mind you, aside from replaceing it, the other two ways are against the law is 
  48. most (all?) states, and could get you some big fines.

  50. But that has never stopped me.  Ive done it to two cars so far, an 84 RX-7, 
  51. and a 89 Jeep YJ.  Right now, Im thinking about doing it on my VW...
