- I read an article recently about a design for a rear-seat air
- bag, yet the article mentioned that this could not be used
- in conjuntion with two front-set airbags, because the simultaneous
- inflation of all three airbags would cause an 'unacceptable
- pressure rise' in the car. Why this was unacceptable, the article
- did not say, however, I would guess that one's eardrums would
- be most susceptible to this sudden pressure increase. I'd bet you
- could hurt your ears if two airbags in a small two-seat car
- inflated simultaneously. I sure as hell am not giving up my air
- bag because my ears might get hurt, though.
