- We had one customer that took their 90 Volkswagen Golf (with the
- exact same antenna you refer to) through a car wash; one that they
- had gone through many times before with the antenna attached.

- This ONE time the antenna got caught in the roller-brush. It picked
- the car right off of the floor as the antenna wrapped around the
- roller! It pulled part of the fender around the antenna mount up
- about a half of a foot before the roller stopped turning.

- It's the only time I've heard of it, and odds are you'll usually get
- away with it, but I think it would still be a bit safer to take the
- antenna off.
