- Either you were looking at the shifter(s?) for a Lenco "planetary"
- manual trans, or you were looking at a Hurst "Lightning Rods" shifter.
- The Lenco is essentially a drag-race only manual trans. You
- release the clutch in first gear, then without using the clutch, just
- pull back the next lever for the next gear. Really cool, IMHO.
- The lightning rods are essientally the same idea, except 1 of
- those levers has Park-Reverse-Neutral-Drive, and the other two are for
- manual first and second.
