- I am looking at a 1984 Ford Bronco II and I'd like to hear experiences
- from anybody, (good & bad). I'm thinking of buying it as a second vehicle
- to drive to work, (& a little offroading on weekends).
-
- 1) How bad is the gas mileage?
- 2) What are experiences with 2wd/4wd setup on a bronco II. This one
- requires that I get out to lock in 4wd mode, I'm not sure, but I bet
- this is better for gas mileage & wear than the "flip on the fly 4wd".
- 3) Ford V6 engines? Can I get 150K before I need a rebuild?
- 4) 5-Speed Manual trans?
- 5) brakes? I tapped them and they grabbed real hard.
-
- Additional info you might need is the following:
- * The truck has 99k miles on it.
- * He was asking $4400, I offered 3900 and he said he'd take it.
- * It drives real well, except that it needs a brake job. No smoke at all,
- idles real quitely.
- * this was a trade in on a new dodge truck.
-
- Should I buy it???
-
- thank you for your experience and advice.
