- Japanese cars may appear to last a long time, but when something does go
- bad on them, better kiss your money goodbye.
- I drove Chevettes (had 4) since I was in high school. Granted, they did
- break down, but when I had to replace something, every junkyard in town
- had the part and were willing to almost give it away because they had so
- many. All of my Chevettes lasted at least 130k miles, too.
- I'd buy american for a lot of reasons, but the fact that the parts are
- considerably cheaper than Jap parts has a good deal to do with it.
- Besides, I never paid more that $400 for a Chevette either.
