--A good Audi to consider is the Turbo Quattro Coupe, not the Coupe Quattro.
  For those who don't know, the Coupe Quattro was the newer model based on
  the 80/90 and had the 20-valve head.  The Turbo Quattro Coupe is the older
  square-cut car (1983-1985 in U.S.) with, of course, a turbocharged version
  of the Audi five.  Very few of these cars were sold in the states.
  However, they have a legendary status in Europe; in fact, an AutoWeek
  staffer named it as one of the best cars of all time.

  The Turbo Quattro is hard to find locally.  You'll have to look in
  AutoWeek.  Also, the '85 is the best model, but the '84 is good as
  well.  Both model years have the improved interior and the wider
  wheels and tires (which transform the look of the car).  They can go
  from $13,000-$18,000.  They aren't quite as fast as the M3, but overall,
  it is a great car.
