- Yes, a type III tape is a tape with two layers. One type I and one
- type II. The most advantage was that the noise lever was mostly lower
- than of type I and type II. The disadvantage was, I guess, the problem
- to manufacture them with stable quality.

- I believe type III tapes were often made out of FeCr (FerroChrome).
