- "THX Certified" equipment is high quality equipment that has been
- tested by Ton Holman or his Lab, etc.
-
- I believe that it is possible to achieve the THX specifications with
- pro qua;ity equipment as that is the equipment that is really THX.

-
- A THX certified system is much more than just using the THX certified
- equipment and having a "THX certified installer" (what ever that is!)
- tweek the equalizer controls.
-
- THX certification requires that the installation (facility) meet
- certain acoustical guidelines. In fact Tom Holman has certified
- theaters and they used the original Altec speaker system, replacing
- the power amps, adding EQ etc. The main change was in the acoustics
- of the room.
