  33. A THX certified system is much more than just using the THX certified
  34. equipment and having a "THX certified installer" (what ever that is!)
  35. tweek the equalizer controls.

  37. THX certification requires that the installation (facility) meet
  38. certain acoustical guidelines.  In fact Tom Holman has certified
  39. theaters and they used the original Altec speaker system, replacing
  40. the power amps, adding EQ etc.  The main change was in the acoustics
  41. of the room.
