- *Reciever - 80 to 100 watts no surround neccesary. max $300

- NAD 7225 or whatever their low end receiver is -- 25 wpc, but it has a
- lot more in reserve than most low end receivers. $250 or thereabouts, I
- think.
-
- *6+1 CD Player - max $300
-
- I have a Sony carousel changer that I paid $280 for maybe 3 years ago
- that I'm very happy with; others may have other opinions. I like
- carousel changers because it means no fiddling with those cartridges,
- but it's a matter of taste.

- *2 cassette deck - with Dolby B&C, seek capability. max $200
-
- *Equalizer - max. $200
-
- That's asking a lot, I think, on the cassette deck. Punt the EQ (with a
- good quality receiver and good speakers you won't need it) and apply the
- money you save to buying two single cassette decks, or perhaps a good
- double deck.
-
- *Turntable - I have a lot of records and I'd like a good one. max $250
-
- Dunno, but other people will have ideas.
-
- *Speakers - 80-100 watts with decent sound reproduction, no crappy
- paper mids etc. max $400
-
- Any of the smaller Paradigms should suit your needs -- that price range
- sounds like the 3se or maybe 5se.
