- The Sony DC3 or DC6 Pro Walkmans may be the answer. Both are superb
- cassette recorders/players in a small package.
-
- The DC3 is the size of a regular walkman. It will record and play with
- Dolby B NR and will record on regular or chrome bias tapes. It has
- a multi segment LED input level. It has a switch to accept either a
- mic or line input and a line out as well as headphone out - thus you
- can hook it up to your stereo like a regular deck using line in and out.
- It will run off of 2 AA batteries or AC power. Comes with headphones
- and minature microphone. Around $200 from discount electronic places.
-
- The DC6 is a little bigger - more the size of VHS tape. In addition to
- the features of the DC3, it has Dolby C, will record on metal tape,
- has bigger controls, and doesn't come with a microphone. Has line
- in and out like the DC3. Around $300.
