  13. I'm with Bill Vermillion.  A month or so ago a friend of mine called me up
  14. to tell me he'd bought his first CD player, connected it to his amplifier,
  15. and, alas, the sound was awful.  I asked him to describe exactly how awful,
  16. and his response was very similar to what the writer of this base note
  17. related.  After he unplugged the player from the phono input and connected
  18. it to an auxiliary or "tape" input, everything was fine.
