- I'm with Bill Vermillion. A month or so ago a friend of mine called me up
- to tell me he'd bought his first CD player, connected it to his amplifier,
- and, alas, the sound was awful. I asked him to describe exactly how awful,
- and his response was very similar to what the writer of this base note
- related. After he unplugged the player from the phono input and connected
- it to an auxiliary or "tape" input, everything was fine.
