- You can probably come pretty close as long as you actually use a THX
- certified decoder. This will get you the decorrelation and X-Curve
- re-equalization. You may or may not also want to consider di-polar
- rear channel speakers. Also, the decoder will generally get you the 80hz
- subwoofer crossover if you want to use it. Any amp that can produce suffient
- volume and handle wide dynamic range should work, use what you like the sound
- of. You also might want to watch out for timbral mis-matches between your
- front speakers and your rear ones. Front speakers are supposed to have
- wide horizontal dispersion and narrow vertical.

- I suspect that there is a lot of equipment out there (especially amps)
- that meet THX specs, but has not bothered (or dont want to pay) to obtain
- THX certification. Also, not everyone agrees with the THX method of
- doing things. You should use what you like.
