- DAT only has one side. It records using helical scanning, like a VCR. The
- data is recorded in bands that go diagonally across the width of the tape.
- So yes, if you record a 90-minute song on a 90-minute tape, you can play it
- back uninterrupted. What a joy that is when recording a 2-hour long concert
- on a 120-minute tape!
