- Actually, according to my admittedly dim memories of a JAES article
- I read long ago, 20 dB of channel separation is usually (or was it
- always) perfectly adequate (as in indistinguishable from more
- separation using music as testsignal).

- The stereo separation of LPs is generally sufficient, if numerically
- unimpressive. Perhaps 35dB with a _good_ pick-up and optimal frequencies.

- to what you would hear in an actual hall, isn't that what you want, even
- if it objectively is a result of 'distortion'?
