  26. Thanks for this info, had the same problem on mine since day 1.

  28. But, I have also had another flaw, which has caused me to get rid
  29. of my Sony CDP-55 recently.  When I first bought it, it would skip
  30. beginning on the second or third track of the second CD played.
  31. Sony supposedly fixed it, but it is back again.  I felt it wasn't
  32. worth my out of pocket expense this time (it was bought in December 
  33. of 1986).  By the way, this is so irritating (especially since
  34. repair droids won't believe me and show me that it plays one cd
  35. just fine!, that I won't be back to Sony....
