  28.     Shyah! Right! Like Grundner wrote ANY of FreePort! All CWRU got 
  29. from the original Freenet is the NAME and REPUTATION. From what old users
  30. of the original system tell me, it was nothing more than some piddly
  31. little BBS, just like those run by 8th-graders all over the nation. In
  32. fact, the software was *worse* than most and extremely painful and 
  33. frustrating to use. Tom didn't *make* ANY of CFN.
  34.     Considering the fact that Grundner did diddly-squat for CFN
  35. after CWRU took care of it, (Remember, Freenet was DEAD when CWRU took
  36. it on. Without CWRU, it would not exist now.) he's real lucky they kept 
  37. him on and gave him a salary.
  38.     As someone already said, *anyone* can sit around and say "Gee,
  39. wouldn't community computing be a nifty idea?" Tom couldn't implement 
  40. this idea; why should he get all the credit for an idea thousands of 
  41. computer users have had, too?
