- Actually, I think I may have been the cause of that thread originally, but
- I missed reading some of the replies to that.... so it may have started
- seperatly.

- What I had in mind was not as you put it above. The way I look at it,
- turning a corner into a piece of straight road is better. I'm
- not talking about going so fast that you can't turn the full circle of
- the turn, i'm also not talking about going to the outside lane from the
- inside to get around the bend - this would only be of gain if you were
- speeding, i'm not talking about blind bends either. I'm talking about
- cutting corners in situations like when you're going downhill on a windy
- outback road and can see for miles, no houses, no other traffic, no people..
- nothing but the road and the countryside beside it.... it saves throwing you
- and your passengers around the car so much, if there's less centrifugal force
- on you, you're more in control. It probably also results in less wear
- and tear on the car. Anyone who does it when there's other traffic/humans/
- houses, or on blind bends is a dammed fool.
