  18. Theodore Roosevelt.  I believe he was 42 when he succeeded
  19. William McKinley after McKinley was assassinated, in 1901.  John Kennedy
  20. was 43 when he was elected, which makes him the youngest person to
  21. win a presidential election, but Teddy actually was the youngest to ever
  22. hold the office.  T.R. was subsequently elected to a full term in 1904,
  23. but he was 45 at the time.

  26. years?  Shall I start campaigning?  I'll be a ripe old <censored>
  27. (younger than Teddy R., but at least 35) at that time.
