- If there exists a "critical shortage" of software developers, then why is
- it that so many MIS people possessing both solid working experience and
- university education are out of work, specifically, in Montreal and
- Toronto. One obvious reason, I suspect, is that many companies are afraid
- to spend the money to get quality people; On many contracts that I have
- worked on, I have witnesed cost-cutting measures that most often come back
- to haunt the company.
