- Assumimg that one has been successful at have a _book length_ work
- accepted and published:
-
- How many copies of the work would need to be sold before the book
- might be considered a _commercial_ success, i.e., having covered the
- costs of publishing and perhaps even raised a profit, OR having sold
- enough copies that the publisher would, all things being equal, be
- more open to the idea of publishing subsequent works by the same author?
-
- Also, what are _typical_ rates, processes for remuneration of authors
- of this type of publication ( books, novels, etc. ) ? A once off
- purchase of the publishing rights, a royalty on a per copy sold basis ?
- Something different ? All of the above ?
-
- Any info gratefully accepted.
