- I for one would be interested in such a board. I frequently read this
- group because occassionally problems are discussed that also apply to the
- problem of scientific (academic) publication. My interest is in the
- publication of research in outlets that are 'peer reviewed'. Yes, I am
- new to the business (Ph.D. 1990) and the clock is ticking. Any help,
- comiseration, etc. would be appreciated.

- Conflicting reviews, as described in the original post, are a constant
- amazement to me. I'm never sure what to do when a reviewer declares that
- sample size is not sufficient and yet there are statistical textbooks that
- say the sample size I used is adequate and there is published work in the
- literature with much, much smaller samples. How do you handle it?
