- I would strongly recommend a buffered converter, (at least a converter with
- a buffer bigger than 2 bits); a few years back, Black Box's converter did not
- work because it dropped data on the floor. The scenario was that the
- printer filled its buffer, set a line to stop the data, and similarly, the
- converter did the same thing, but in the interim, a few characters would
- have been sent, which got lost. This was because the buffer in the converter
- was too small. (Probably a 16550 UART might do the trick, I haven't tried it).
