  25. You mean the Bakke case, which involved an overage applicant (fewer
  26. years of return for society's investment) with marginal grades and
  27. a chip on the shoulder so major that only a fool would want him for
  28. a doctor? He had only higher test scores going for him. But then
  29. of course U Cal was eventually forced to admit him, so he was able
  30. to attent medical school (not college).
