  14.     I have a few questions.  This is the first time I am
  15. preparing my taxes in the US and as such I am unsure about a
  16. few items.

  18.     First of all, my wife and I jointly own a home overseas
  19. which we are renting out, the rent covering the mortgage.
  20. Is any of this deductible?  Our overseas interest rates are
  21. quite high.  We do not own a home in the US.

  23.     Secondly, until this July I worked abroad.  My earnings
  24. were substantially lower (in USD) and were highly taxed.  Should
  25. I be eligible for a major tax rebate as I have been taxed by my
  26. current employer at a "yearly rate"?  If so, what is the best
  27. way to declare this?

  29.     Third, and finally for the moment, we moved from abroad.
  30. During the course of this move, we sold household goods at a loss
  31. and bought new items here.  What types of expenses can I deduct?

  33. If anyone knows of GOOD publications that provide this information,
  34. or can provide it themselves, I would be much obliged.
