  21. As a farmer, I practice low-input sustainable methods, and I see to the
  22. comfort of my animals during their life (though I may then be responsible
  23. for their death and consumption).

  25. As a hunter, I only take shots which offer the great likelihood of a clean
  26. kill, and we eat what I kill.  I also volunteer my time to help enforce
  27. wildlife laws so that the activity of the many concientious hunters is
  28. not threatened by the actions of the few slobs.

  30. As an environmentalist, I work to protect surface and groundwater supplies,
  31. protect vital wildlife habitat, discourage reckless development, and
  32. encourage thoughtful land use practices.

  36. I submit that there is a middle ground, that these issues are complicated,
  37. and that they will not be solved to anyone's satisfaction by an "us vs them"
  38. approach.

  40. I encourage you to consider the possibility that the issues you cite are
  41. not black and white.
