- *Hello all,
- *
- *Our 2yo daughter has had trouble breathing
- *for the past 2 mos. The symptoms appear all
- *day but are much worse at night. She seems
- *congested and needs to breathe through her
- *mouth. She does not appear to have a cold.
- *There is little or no mucus in her nose so
- *sucking it out doesn't help. Her breathing
- *at night is very labored and is heart-rending
- *to watch. Needless to say, she does not
- *sleep well and neither do we.
- *
- *We reluctantly put her on antibiotics to
- *rule out a sinus infection. Our doctor said
- *it may be an allergy. We feel that it is
- *serious and needs attention and wondered if
- *any of you have had a similar experience
- *and/or have words of advice.
- *
- *Thanks in advance.
- *

- *P.S. We recently switched to a warm-mist
- *humidifier with an air filter (Bionair?),
- *from a cool mist type, but that doesn't seem
- *to have helped dramatically.

- Please take your daughter to an ear, nose and throat
- doctor as soon as you can get an appointment. You need
- not have a sinus infection to have sinus troubles.
- Our son had breathing out of his mouth, and coughing
- at night for years. He had narrow passageways and small
- sinus cavities, polyps, and a cyst blocking one whole cavity.
- Since his surgery he has been a new kid. PLEASE CALL AND
- MAKE AN APPOINTMENT NOW. Hope you find your daughter some
- help.
