- My daughter loves having a book chapter read to before she goes to
- sleep. She is about 3.75 yrs old now. Our books have been 'The
- Little House on the Prairie' series ('Farmer Boy', 'The Little House
- in the Big Woods', and we have almost finished 'The Little House on
- the Prairie').
- She understands enough of the stories that she now wants to be a
- farm girl or a cow girl when she grows up.
- I skip over the lengthy descriptions of how things were made in those
- days (for example, how a pair of shoes were made takes a few pages...) or
- I summarize what I can of the procedure.
