- Anybody have any experiences with the Kindermusic classes?
- My wife is interested in enrolling our kids (5 & 2.5).
- I like the idea, too, of them learning more about music and
- music appreciation.
-
- Both our kids really like to listen to kid music (they're finally giving
- Rafi a break, but how many times can you hear "Tyrannasaurus Rex was a
- very mean king, he terrorized the countryside....") Daniela (2.5)
- already knows more of the verses to "The 12 days of Christmas" than I do
- and she's very good with melodies.
-
- I guess my `concerns' are about the cost (~$100 for a 16 week course)
- and whether they really do much that the kids aren't already doing.
-
- Its taught at (by?, through?) a local music store. Apparently the
- concept comes from an organization Music Resources International in N.C.
- The flyer says stuff like "
- Music for the very Young
- Sing: your child will begin to discover his/her own singing voice through
- Move: ..develop body awareness .. through synchronized movement...
- ...
- "
- There are classes for 18 months thru 6 year olds.
-
- Anybody have any good or bad experiences with Kindermusic or similar
- types of class?
- Thanks
