  24. If you can, get the pediatrician to specify in the written orders
  25. for the baby that it should have nothing by mouth other than breast
  26. milk.  If the nurses violate the doctor's written orders, see to it
  27. that they get reamed for it.

  29. By the way, it's a good idea to work out a separate neonatal plan
  30. (analogous to the birth plan) with the pediatrician.  Items about the
  31. care of the baby are the pede's concern; it's worthless putting them in
  32. a plan for the OB.
