  12. One of my friends has a daughter who stops breathing and passes out
  13. when she's very upset... she's going to be 2 in a couple of months.
  14. It's kinda scary to see, especially when you're not used to it, but if
  15. they get to the point of passing out, normal breathing resumes
  16. immediately.

  18. Blowing in the face of a young child causes them to inhale. That
  19. technique is used at the YMCA to help toddlers learn to go underwater
  20. - count to three, blow in face, toddler takes a breath, then you lower
  21. the child under for a second. I never thought of using it to stop the
  22. holding breath spells, though.
