  13. Oh, and Robin (almost 11 mo) is into manipulating objects - dropping
  14. balls into cups, then taking them out (these are small balls - not
  15. choke hazards, but easy for him to handle - he stole them from our
  16. loved Discovery Toy Strike a Ball). I also found a Fisher Price House
  17. meant for the old large 'little people' that has a door that opens and
  18. shuts, a roof that can be opened, and a hole in the roof leading to a
  19. slide that drops the small objects dropped in out the side of the
  20. house. He loves manipulating it.

  22. So some easy to handle balls and cups (we use both our commercial
  23. stacking cup set and various plastic containers from food) can make
  24. for a fun playing session, with the baby doing most of the work.

  26. He also enjoys manipulating large objects, like long wooden spoons and
  27. other long objects. He holds them and sits there just waving them back
  28. and forth, just by moving his wrist. I think he's experimenting with
  29. the feel of it. He also pushes his little Tykes car/walker around the
  30. house instead of riding on it. Sometimes he pushes it around the house
  31. with his sister (32 lbs!) riding on it, and she's holding her feet up,
  32. she's not helping!
