- I work three days a week (MWF all day). Due to the nature
- of my job (academic), that doesn't mean that I'm off
- Tuesday/Thursday as much as it means that I just don't go in
- those days. I sometimes work from home on my off days
- (including weekends), and occasionally come in those days
- (bringing baby with).
-
- Day-care is still expensive. Jordan is in an in-home
- arrangement. She charges $2/hour for part-time, $1.60/hour
- for full-time, so I pay $60 for 3 days (as opposed to $80
- for 5).
-
- On the other hand, I have two days a week where I don't
- really _have_ to do anything. If I had a job that didn't
- reach out and grab all the time I would give it (i.e. a
- scheduled office job of some sort), then I really would only
- be working every other day.
