- They must've intended some other company. 3-D Systems, symbol TDSSF, has an
- interesting-looking product: stereolithography equipment. This takes
- a solid model CAD database, and scans a laser into a vat of liquid
- photopolymer with an elevator platform to build a solid polymer form
- slice-wise. The machines sell for $250-500K.
-
- I bought TDSSF at 5.50. Went up to around 16 and I very stupidly didn't sell.
- At this point, I might as well ride it into the ground.
-
- The stock was originally traded on Vancouver, but got onto the NASDAQ main
- list a couple of years ago. Ciba-Geigy at one time owned a substantial chunk
- (maybe 1/3) of the company. They sold out, but bought in again later if
- I recall correctly.
-
- I believe there's a company called 3DO - maybe that's what WSW intended.
