- Sorry, I guess I didn't clarify that. They are NOT a stock mutual fund --
- they do arbitrage. The theory (according to their admittedly-shady-sounding
- material) is that they are able to take advantage of arbitrage deals in
- foreign currencies, buying money instruments in huge volumes and selling
- in smaller lots for a profit, and similar things. Thus, again in theory,
- they only put money into something that has an immediate guaranteed return.

- As I understand arbitrage, this is possible, and with virtually no risk.
- Whether Banner Fund is a legitimate practitioner of the art is another
- question entirely -- which is why I consider it so risky.
