- I haven't received too much back in response to Vanguard Annuity
- so I'll try again. What are peoples opinions on this annuity?
- Good or bad....
-
- This is what I've received so far from netters.
-
- Thanks!

- I don't use it myself, but I've read that Vanguard's variable annuity
- program is the only way to go. The expenses are about 1/2 insurance Co.
- annuities (1% vs ~2%) and there are no surrender charges or other such
- silliness.

-
- After looking at the prospectus and advertising literature,
- the low annual fee and the fact that there are no
- early withdrawal penalties make the Vanguard annuity look
- real good. It's hard to tell, of course, what the return
- would be like, since the funds haven't been operating that long.
-
- As far as tax deferral, I've been thinking about EE bonds
- to get the tax deferral (up to $15,000/year) without tying the
- money up in something as long term as an annuity.
- Basically, I don't trust insurance companies.
- They're simply not regulated as thoroughly as other
- SEC-regulated investment entities.
-
- Without knowing too much about annuities, Vanguard looks like
- the best around
