- I had an account with the in RI. They didn't seem too bad, though they
- did botch one of my orders. However, when I got the confirmation and
- saw that they had bought the wrong stock, and called them up, they were
- willing to null out the order and get the stock I wanted.
- Now, if you go with OLDE, you have to be willing to start receiving calls
- from them trying to push you into buying things -- in this regard they
- are more like a traditional broker. Also, their prices are nowhere near
- as good as places like PBS, Waterhouse, etc.

- Not hard at all. When you open the account with the new firm,
- they'll ask you if you want to transfer an account. You say yes,
- and they'll send you a transfer form (an ACAT). You fill it out and mail
- it back to the new firm. They will contact your current firm and arrange
- the transfer. This can possibly take as long as 2-3 weeks, so find out
- from both firms what the status of your account will be during the transfer,
- i.e. is it frozen, can you still trade, etc.? Unless your old firm has
- modified it's account agreement to charge you when you "fire" them,
- the transfer is free. Once the transfer is complete, you can sell the shares
- from the new account.
